Hi, my name is Tim. This site was developed to share my interests and opinions with you…and hear what you have to say as well…

My early learning included primary grade schools in Bangkok, Thailand and on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona. The majority of my education occurred in California, however, and included an undergraduate and graduate degree from Fresno State University. My working career spanned twenty - eight years within the California State Departments of Mental Health and Social Services. Four years of military service were spent as an enlisted sailor in the United States Navy posted aboard three ships (destroyers) during the war in Viet Nam. Travel both in the military and as a civilian has taken me to five continents. This site serves as a “blog” to share with readers my interests and opinions refined over a lifetime.  Your respectful comments and opinions are welcome also.  The author may be contacted utilizing the button located in the header of each page.

My interests include photography and preserving family lore for relatives and younger descendants. This photo was taken @ 1920 of students in the York, North Dakota school district. The bald lad in the photo is my maternal uncle John born in 1908. The students are dressed up for graduation from the primary grades. York was a farming town replete with a high school, bank, and farm - related businesses. The community was laid out alongside the tracks of the Great Northern Railway. York is nearly gone now - the population taken from the 2020 federal census stood at 17. My Mother (born 1912) was raised on my grandparent’s dry grain farm operation outside York with two sisters and four brothers (including John in the picture).
